Robert Kocharyan on Not Participating in the 30th Session of the Board of Trustees of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund

Dear compatriots,
I have decided not to participate in the 30th session of the Board of Trustees of the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, scheduled for November 27 of this year. The agenda includes the approval of expenses transferred by the Fund to the Government of Armenia, which have not been verified by an auditing company.

Considering the establishment of an investigative commission in the National Assembly to examine the use of those transferred funds, I sent a letter to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, President Armen Sargsyan, proposing to postpone the discussion of that agenda item. Unfortunately, no response was received. I also sent the same proposal to the Board members who are not representatives of the government or other state bodies.

Approving such an audit under these circumstances will cause irreparable damage to the reputation and future of this major pan-Armenian institution. There is no justification for participating in such a meeting and thereby becoming complicit in it.

I see no point in attending a session that will harm this pan-Armenian organization and the realization of our national goals.
