Robert Kocharyan’s Address on the Occasion of Armenian Army Day

Dear compatriots,

I congratulate you on the occasion of Armenian Army Day. We mark this day under the most difficult conditions for our army.

It is not hard to understand the emotions of those who have contributed to the fate of our army — created during the First Artsakh War and developed step by step ever since.

The army, once a guarantor of peace in the region and the security of Artsakh, is today in need of protection itself.

I remain hopeful that the army will eventually rise again and become a full-fledged guarantor of our people’s security.
