It is with deep sorrow that I learned about the passing of People's Artist of Armenia and composer Arthur Grigoryan.

Arthur Grigoryan’s contribution to the development and popularization of contemporary Armenian music is immense.

Through the State Song Theatre he created and led, through the professionals he trained, and his own musical works, Arthur Grigoryan undoubtedly played a significant role in Armenian culture.

I warmly remember my meetings with Arthur Grigoryan.

I extend my condolences to his family, loved ones, the hundreds of artists shaped by his mentorship, and his thousands of fans.
