What happened to Samvel Karapetyan is yet another disgraceful act by a puppet judicial and legal system. It is a national shame when a major investor and philanthropist, whose contributions are well recognized both in the diaspora and Armenia, ends up in prison without any justification—simply for defending the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.

The only way to rectify this disgraceful situation is through a change of power. Otherwise, we are rapidly descending into a totalitarian dictatorship with unpredictable consequences for our statehood.

I wish Samvel Karapetyan strength during this difficult time. I am confident that the moment to put an end to all anti-national and unlawful actions is approaching.
